Real Projects, Real Results

Our project-based learning approach puts you in teams of 3-4 people working on actual financial challenges. You'll present findings to industry professionals and build a portfolio that demonstrates practical skills to employers.

Months 1-3

Financial Statement Analysis Teams

Your first project involves analyzing quarterly reports from ASX-listed companies. Teams of four work together to identify trends, calculate ratios, and prepare investment recommendations. Each team member becomes the specialist in one area—liquidity, profitability, efficiency, or leverage—then teaches the others.

"Working with Helena, Marcus, and Dev taught me more about reading balance sheets than any textbook could. When Helena explained working capital calculations using real Woolworths data, everything clicked." – Rachel, 2024 graduate
Months 4-6

Portfolio Management Challenge

Teams manage virtual 0,000 portfolios over twelve weeks, making investment decisions based on market research and risk analysis. Weekly team meetings involve heated debates about sector allocation and individual stock picks. You'll present your strategy to a panel including portfolio managers from local investment firms.

Project teams typically spend 4-6 hours per week researching together, plus individual preparation time. The competitive element keeps everyone engaged and accountable.
Months 7-9

Business Valuation Capstone

The final project involves valuing a local business seeking investment. Teams conduct financial modeling, industry analysis, and risk assessment. You'll interview business owners, analyze competitors, and present detailed valuation reports. Some teams' work has actually informed real investment decisions.

Last year, a team's analysis of a Bendigo tech startup helped secure 0,000 in funding. Their DCF model and market analysis became part of the actual pitch deck.
